Oh the Blog

I am not much of a blogger. However, I feel a lot better when I express my thoughts and opinions in a forum, much like a blog. So here it is....from time to time I'll talk about my life and the other stuff that goes on around me.

Today's topic: Christianity!

Since I've got maybe one reader....I am going to say this and manage to piss someone off! I hate Christians! Yes you read that correctly, and yes hate is a VERY strong word! Follow me for a minute.

Being in a garage, doesn't make you a car; so sitting in church or becoming a fan of God on Facebook doesn't make you a Christian. Let's just keep it real.

I am not one to judge another Christians walk with Christ. I know I think very different when it comes to the "traditionalism" of Christianity. I am not a conservative or a prude. I just know that Jesus is more than just my "homeboy" (ya feel me?) So I love it, when I have "friends" and "colleagues" who are believers, tell me how I should live my life and live out my walk.

It's one thing to encourage and counsel. And it's another to flat instruct in a degrading manner how one should live out their personal relationship with Christ.

If you were to ask me to define Christianity.....
I would look at you with my big brown eyes and simply say, "I can't!"
The deal with me is it's not about a specific religion, set of rules, or how many times I can sin or be a hypocrite and God will forgive me. It's about a deep and personal relationship; my relationship!

I am not perfect, nor do I claim to be. I've made some mistakes and have a lot of regret. But this one thing I know: I can make #Jesus or #Christianity a trending topic on Twitter and I can be a fan of "God" or "Being proud to be a Christian" on Facebook but if I don't have that personal relationship with Christ, then I am a just another "Christian" who goes to Church every Sunday to leave a butt print in the pew, shout down the pastor, and wear my "Jesus is my homeboy" t-shirt.......jus sayin
